Harbir Singh, MD, MBA is a board-certified emergency physician, entrepreneur, and healthcare executive, and one of the leading physician voices in Texas medicine.
He is the founder of TXM Hospitals and the creator of the ThinkMicro™ philosophy: the conviction that the small details most hospitals overlook are the ones patients feel most. Under ThinkMicro, waiting is treated as a problem to eliminate, medical decisions are made in real time by the physician at the bedside, and patients are treated as people, not production units. TXM ER & Hospital in Manor is that philosophy built in brick.
Dr. Singh’s leadership extends well beyond his own hospitals. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Texas College of Emergency Physicians and on committees for TCEP, the American College of Emergency Physicians, and the Texas Medical Association. He is frequently called to the Texas Legislature to advocate for physicians and patients.
He earned his medical degree at Penn State and his MBA through the University of Tennessee’s physician executive program. He completed his emergency medicine residency at UT Southwestern/Parkland in Dallas, the same emergency room that treated President John F. Kennedy.
